Onboarding

Eligibility​

To be eligible to acquire or trade TECH via the Fission Protocol, you (or your organization, depending upon who is investing) must NOT be located, organized, or a resident in any of the following locations:

  • The United States (including its possessions and territories), the United Kingdom or Canada
  • Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria
  • Albania, Barbados, Belarus, Cambodia, Colombia, Haiti, Jamaica, Japan, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, Vanuatu, 3Venezuela, Yemen
  • Any African country except Mauritius and South Africa
  • Any countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States
  • Any country, territory, or geographical region that is itself the subject or target of any territory-wide sanctions

KYC/AML​

The onboarding process is a requirement for minting our TECH and TVLT tokens. You must complete our KYC/AML process as an individual or entity on the website. You'll need to provide certain documents (a government-issued photo ID), and personal information (name, address, phone number) and pass automated screenings (e.g. OFAC sanctions).

You may explore the Fission site and research the available products without registering. Once you decide to invest, click the invest button for any product, click My Account in the top right, or use this link to begin the process to fully register.

The onboarding process is simple and straightforward, and usually takes less than 5 minutes for an individual and 15 minutes for a legal entity or organization.

  1. Register by providing your email and a password.

  2. Provide your basic personal information. (name, address, phone number)

  3. Verify your identity. (upload a picture or scan of a government-issued photo ID and pass an automated liveness check using your device camera)

If you are onboarding as a legal entity or organization, our onboarding team will contact you within a few days to complete the process.

We use an ID verification partner to manage and verify customer information. We do not hold any customer data.
